The Chinese phone company Huawei is on a mission to launch its tri-fold smartphone as the price may cost an arm and a leg to own it. As per the leaks, the prototype of the handset might cost a ballpark of $4,900 (Rs 4,11,000). It was said that the company is working on reducing the price before it is fully available in the market.
According to an X post, the prototype of the Huawei tri-fold smartphone’s production model will not be much cheaper in comparison and the next-generation foldable (tri-fold) smartphone will be released soon by the company.

As per the post, the price is seemingly high, as the company is trying to dwindle the cost since the Huawei tri-fold engineering prototype is over 35,000 RMB.

If this turns out to be true, the price may be twice the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and be marked as the most expensive tri-fold smartphone in the market. The rumour suggests that the company plans to release this phone in 2024, but as the price gives a stupor, let’s wait for what Huawei with the new tri-fold anticipated to bring to the table.
