Despite Instagram’s significant issues with child exploitation, Zuckerberg has not faced arrest as Musk suggests that this is because Zuckerberg cooperates with governments by censoring free speech and providing backdoor access to user data. Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, will appear in court to face a range of serious charges, including terrorism, drug trafficking, fraud, money laundering, and facilitating the distribution of child abuse content. As a dual citizen of France and Russia, Durov could potentially be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison, according to French media reports.
His arrest was prompted by Telegram’s alleged failure to adequately moderate its content and Durov’s refusal to collaborate with French authorities which led to a search warrant from the French National Directorate of Judicial and was later arrested at the French Airport.
