Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Farhan bin Faisal announced the start of diplomatic tour of the ministerial committee in charge of the Arab – Islamic summit. The agenda of the diplomatic tour is to advocate for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The tour start from Monday and the Foreign Ministers of Arab and Muslim countries will first stop at China, as said by Saudi Foreign Minister on the sidelines of a conference in Bahrain.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Faisal said, “the first stop will be China and then we will move to a number of capitals to deliver the clear message that there must be a ceasefire immediately, as well as the humanitarian needs must be immediately delivered to Gaza, and we must also work to end this crisis and war on Gaza as soon as possible”.

The tour will be the first step taken towards the implementation of decisions taken during the Joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit held at Riyadh. The officials present at the Extraordinary summit held at Riyadh has decided to exert a serious political process that would ensure the just and lasting peace at the territories of Palestine with relevant resolutions on international level.
Along with Foreign Minsters of Arab and Muslim countries, secretary-generals of the Arab League and Organization of Islamic Cooperation will also take part in the ministerial diplomatic tour.
During the conference at Bahrain, Mr. Faisal reiterated Saudi Arabia’s call for immediate ceasefire and the urgency in lifting “all restrictions for humanitarian good”. He added that, “we don’t feel that there is enough attention given to the need for an immediate ceasefire”.
