
Qatar PM Calls Israel's PM Benjamin Netanyahu 'Narcissist'
In a recent CNN interview, the Qatar Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani called Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu a ‘narcissist’ after Israel attacked Doha. Israel’s PM has justified attacks on Doha as an attempt at targeted killing of Hamas leadership.
“I say to Qatar and all nations who harbor terrorists, you either expel them or you bring them to justice. Because if you don’t, we will”, Netanyahu wrote on X while sharing a video of eliminating Hamas members and accusing Qatar of financing Hamas.

While Qatar’s PM spoke to CNN, condemning the strikes as ‘state terror’ and expressing anguish over Israeli action.
He highlighted that Qatar had hosted Hamas office as part of US and Israel-backed mediation efforts for years, calling Netanyahu’s threat a violation of soverignty.
Israel has received condemnation for its attack on a sovereign country as a violation of international law from all across the world. The US President Donald Trump has also accused Israel of not giving sufficient time to alert Qatar against the impending attack.

Notably, Israel conducted an attack on Hamas leadership in Doha, killing 5 Hamas members, including the son of senior leader Khalil al-Hayya, and 1 Qatari security force member. As per the reports, an Israeli military official, the attacks were carried out to eliminate senior leaders of Hamas under the operation ‘Summit of Fire’.
However, the attacks happened when peace talks were being conducted between Hamas and Qatar’s officials, as Doha is mediating negotiations between Israel and Hamas since the October 7 war started.
