
Rare Total Lunar Eclipse To Be Visible Across UAE Skies On Sunday
The International Astronomical Center has stated that the lunar eclipse will be livestreamed from the Al Khatim Observatory in Abu Dhabi, using its telescopes to capture the event between 7:30 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. local time. The rare total eclipse is known as the blood moon and will be visible across the emirates.

To varying degrees, the phenomenon will be seen across the Arab world, said Mohammed Shawkat Odeh, the center’s director.
The spectacle begins with the moon entering Earth’s penumbra at 7:28 p.m. in the UAE, and a partial eclipse will be seen at 8:27 p.m. and the start of totality at 9:31 p.m.

The eclipse will peak at 10:12 p.m, and the moon gradually brightens again, erasing the lunar eclipse slowly.
The General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowment and Zakat has called on the UAE public to perform the eclipse prayer on Sunday evening.
