US Getting Ready To Intervene As The War On Gaza Is Widening: Report

The war in Gaza is seemingly spreading to wider areas. While the Israeli occupation force is engaged in leveling down Gaza Strip, at the same time bombing Lebanon and Syria, America has bombed Syria and Iraq, which what they said to be a response to attack against its army troops in the region, Yemen’s Houthis are waging war on Red Sea swearing solidarity with Hamas in Gaza, again US is armed to attack the Houthis to protect the commercial shipping which are under the threat of the Houthi attack. Now, Politico reported that the Biden Administration is drawing up plans to respond to the expansion of war in Gaza to a “wider, protracted regional conflict”.

Citing four officials who are familiar with the issue, the news organization reported that there is internal conversation that said there is high potential for the US to be drawn into another Middle East war. According to three US officials who were said to have direct knowledge about the discussion, the US military is drafting plans to attack the Houthis is Red Sea, which included striking Houthi areas in Yemen.

The escalation may land Joe Biden in even more hotter water as the 2024 election campaigns are heating up, pushing him to put more focus on domestic issues, when the war in Gaza has departed from the besieged enclave’s border, a scenario Washington said to tried to avoid for months. The scenarios unfolding are posing wider threats, not only to the regional security but also for Joe Biden’s chances at winning the Presidential election, said the report.

“The scramble inside the administration to draw up reports on potential points of attacks and possible US response this week came as a result of orders from the top echelons of the administration over fears that the violence in the region will only continue to grow and that Washington will eventually have to intervene”, reported Politico.
