On Thursday, China condemned United States President Joe Biden’s description of Xi jinping as a dictator and called Mr. Biden’s comment as “extremely wrong”. The incident happened after the two leaders met at a summit in California.
China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said the said, “this kind of speech is extremely wrong and is irresponsible political manipulation. China firmly opposes it”.
She further said that “I need to point out that there are always some people with ulterior motives attempting to sow discord and wreck China-US relations, and this too will not succeed”. When asked about who she is referring to, she said “whoever is trying to undermine and sow discord between China and the United States knows it”, as per report.
After the California summit, Mr. Biden said that he still consider the Chinese President as a “dictator”. His comments were, “I mean he is a dictator in the sense that he is a guy who is running a country, a Communist country, that’s based on a form totally different than ours”.
The two leaders met at California and had a four-hour long face to face meeting. During the meeting, both the leaders has agreed to fight together on the illegal fentanyl.

The two countries has also agreed to re-establish “military-to-military” communications between the two countries.
