The former professional wrestler Hulk Hogan, spoke in favour of former President Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention with a rousing speech in which he ripped off his suit jacket and shirt, revealing a red Trump-Vance tank top. “Let Trumpmania run wild, brother!” he exclaimed. The Republicans gathered went wild and resonated raucous cheers.

Hogan was given a prime-time spot during the final night of Republican convention, making him one of the last handful of speakers before Mr. Trump. He spoke in the style of a Monster Jam announcer, flexing his biceps, and cupping his hand to his ear as if he couldn’t hear the cheering delegates below, as the crowd chanted “USA”.

Hogan’s whose real name is Terry G. Bollea called Trump his “hero”. He said the former president would bring “America back together, one real American at a time”.

It was only last month Hogan said he did not decide on whom he would support in the presidential run. Now, wearing red bandanna and dark sun glasses propped p on his head, Hogan said, as an entertainer, he tries to stay out of politics.

“But after everything that’s happened to our country over the past four years, and everything that happened last weekend, I can no longer stay silent”.

In an interview with NewsNation, he said he “want the best man to win”. But after the assassination attempt against Trump last week, the opinion appears to change. Speaking to Fox News night ahead of his speech, Hogan said, “When I saw him stand up with that fist in the air and the blood on his face — as a warrior, as a leader — I realized that’s what America needs”.

“Let Trumpmania run wild, brother! Let Trumpmania rule again! Let Trumpmania make America great again!”, he said.

As he left the stage, Hogan clapped, beat his chest and flexed his muscles one final time.

His speech pumped up the already electrified crowd, prompting the attendees to scream out loud, with many bearing slogans that read, “Bring Back Common Sense” and “Make America Great Again”.
