
Multiple Blasts Hit Pakistan's Lahore A Day After India's Operation Sindoor: Report (Photo on X@TeamJhaant__)
Lahore: A day after India’s strike on multiple terror targets in Pakistan, several blasts were reported from Pakistan’s second-largest city, Lahore, on Thursday morning, reports Reuters, citing staff witnesses and broadcaster Geo TV.
The blast sent shock waves across the residents in the city in the face of heightened tensions with India. India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ on Wednesday targeted terror sites across nine locations, killing over 30 people in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.

The explosion reportedly occurred in Walton Road in the Gopal Nagar and Naseerabad areas of Lahore near Walton airport. Following the Indian attack, Pakistan had closed its airspace for commercial flights at both Lahore and Islamabad airports.
Police have claimed that an Indian drone has been shot down near Walton road in the city, as per a report by Al Jazeera citing Samaa TV. Flight operations at Karachi, Lahore, and Sialkot airports have been temporarily suspended, according to a report by Routers.

As tensions simmer between the two nuclear-armed powers, heavy exchanges of artillery fire have been reported along the border areas, with Pakistan shelling claiming 12 lives including a solider on Indian side.
India’s mission ‘Operation Sindoor’ was a response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir that killed 26 people, mostly tourists. India accused Pakistan based terror groups of orchestrating attack in the country, prompting military response targeting the terror camps in Pakistan and Pak-Occupied Kashmir.
