Over 400 Palestinians Killed Across Gaza In Israel's Largest Strike Since Ceasefire
Violating the ceasefire agreement again, Israel has continued to bomb the Gaza Strip, and the Jewish nation today carried out the largest strikes since the ceasefire with Hamas started on January 19. The strike this morning killed over 400 Palestinians, including women and children, according to a report by Al Jazeera.
Gaza Government Media Office has reported at least 404 fatalities in the Israeli bombing across multiple areas in the Strip in the early hours, and the spokesperson of Gaza’s health ministry, Khalil Al-Deqran has confirmed the casualties to the news agency Reuters. The surprise attack during during the holy month of Ramadan has destroyed a relative calm the Palestinians enjoyed since the ceasefire deal in January.
Notably, Israeli officials have declared that the latest offensive against Gaza was open-ended and expected to expand. With this, the prospect of a return to the Jewish nation’s extensive aggression in Gaza which was started on October 7, 2023, has been feared. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office has said that the country “will, from now on, act against Hamas with increasing military strength.”

An Israeli official has suggested that the extensive operation launched across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday would last as long as necessary, potentially causing widespread destructions in Gaza, which has been shattered by the devastating IDF offensives. Israel’s ambassador to the UN Danny Dannon has defended the latest brutal air strikes on Gaza stating that they will show no mercy on their enemies.
“Nothing will stop us from fighting to free our hostages who have been held in brutal Hamas captivity for 527 days. We will show no mercy against our enemies while our hostages languish in Hamas terror tunnels.Let me be very clear. Israel will not stop until all of our hostages are back home,” Dannon wrote in his social media platform X. The situation also raises concerns regarding the fate of the remaining Israeli hostages – around two dozens.
The Security Council will convene tomorrow to discuss the situation in Gaza.
It is time for the countries of the world to take seriously our unwavering commitment to bring back all our hostages home and defeat the enemy.
