"Palestinians Should Go To Rafah And Egypt Should Take Them": Nikki Haley (image @ NikkiHaley)

In an interview with US news channel ABC News, Nikki Haley, the Republican Presidential candidate, said the Palestinians “should go to Rafah gate and Egypt take them”, or to the “pro-Hamas countries like Qatar, Iran, or Turkey. She was answering to the question of “where should Palestinians go?”. United Nations rapporteur of Human Rights in occupied Palestine, Francesca Albanese questioned the “overt racism” in Nikki Haley’s remarks.

The UN convoy said it is “unclear on which grounds – other than overt racism – @NikkyHaley urges that Palestinians should be displaced to Egypt”. She also reminded in her X (formerly twitter) that forced displacement is prohibited under international law and a crime against Humanity when it occurs “in the context of widespread attacks against civilians”.

When the news anchor mentioned about the plight of Palestinians who were fleeing their homes with everything they can get but still not able to get to Egypt, the presidential candidate called it a “sad state of affairs” and stated that the reason behind why the Egypt won’t take the Palestinians was because of the confusion on who are the “terrorists” or not.

She said the Arab world has always been cautious about the terrorist activities and know the “threats that Iran can place”. She went on to add that the Arab Nations like Saudi Arabia and Egypt do not want the “terrorist proxies” coming to their place. She said instead of accusing those (who she designated as terrorists), the world is hitting on Israel “who was brought to her knees in the worst invasion since the holocaust” for no reason.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation force has been targeting refugee camps largely in their genocidal bombing in the Gaza Strip, forcing the Palestinians to flee the camps and homes in fear. The Rafah is now overwhelmed with more than one million evacuees. Rafah is the last point they evacuated into. Al Jazeera reported that the Israeli force announced about increasing the invading force with some more 30,000 more soldiers on the ground as an attempt to expand its operation in Khan Younis. If the occupation force is likely to eastern and southern parts of Khan Younis, the main entrance of the Rafah city will be the only place left for the Palestinians in Gaza.
