A Turkish teen was arrested by Turkish police. The teen, who appeared to be wearing Nazi paraphernalia stabbed at least five people outside a mosque, and livestreamed the rampage on social media. Footage of the incident showed the 18-year-old suspect, looking into the camera while wearing a skeletal mask, goggles and a Nazi-style helmet.

He walked into the patio of the Tepebaşı Mosque in Eskişehir with a knife. After surveying a group of men talking, the teenager attacked one man by driving the blade into his torso. The miscreant then leered at the shocked bystanders before attacking others.

Throughout the live stream, which lasted for two minutes before the teen was tackled to the ground, he did not say anything. Only heavy breathing was recorded on the footage, as he ran through a park, a train station and the streets, seemingly slashing and stabbing victims at random, said media report.

As per the report, many of the victims appeared to be elderly men, who were attacked from behind.

He was tacked down by the Turkish police. Reportedly, the teen also had an axe in his waistband, but apparently did not use during his attacks.

 

According to local media reports, the teenager was dressed up as a character from a video game that inspired the attack. Motivation behind the attack is under probe. The conditions of any of the victims were not life-threatening. However, some are seriously injured and were taken to hospital.
