World Economic Forum CEO Borge Brende Resigns Amid Probe Into Link With Sex Offender Epstein

Børge Brende, World Economic Forum CEO, has resigned from his position after the organisation initiated an independent probe into his past association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

In a statement, Brende announced his decision to quit the organization. “After careful consideration, I have decided to step down as President and CEO of the World Economic Forum. My time here, spanning 8-1/2 years, has been profoundly rewarding,” the former WEF chief said.

Brende, who assumed the position in 2017, decided to step down following the disclosures from the US Justice Department about his alleged communications including three business dinners with Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender.
