Maserati MC20 Cielo: The Convertible Supercar Price Starts At Rs 5.31 Crore
Although the Italian manufacturer has not made an official statement, we do know the prices of the Maserati MC20 Cielo and GranCabrio convertibles: the drop-top GranTurismo coupe costs Rs 3.40 crore, while the convertible supercar costs Rs 5.31 crore. Without options, both prices are ex-showroom India.
Following the 2019 discontinuation of the previous generation GranCabrio, Maserati’s first convertible, the MC20 Cielo, was unveiled precisely three years ago. The 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbocharged engine that powers the rest of Maserati’s lineup also powers the convertible supercar, producing 630 horsepower and 730 Nm, just like the MC20 coupe. The firm states that the Cielo can reach a high speed of over 320 kph and a 0-100 kph duration of roughly 3 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds slower than the coupe.

The folding roof mechanism’s added weight is probably the cause of the slightly slower acceleration time. The Cielo weighs 1,560 kg, which is 85 kg more than the MC20 coupe. The convertible top is claimed to fold down (or back up) in just 12 seconds. It has a glass roof that is 909 mm long and 615 mm broad, in contrast to many of its peers that employ steel or cloth. With the exception of the drop-top body design, the Cielo is exactly the same as the MC20, which was introduced in 2023 for Rs 3.69 crore. This includes the same features, choices, and accessory packages.
Utilizing the brand’s well-known 3.0-litre V6 engine, the GranCabrio is a 2+2 seater drop-top that is essentially the convertible version of the Maserati GranTurismo coupe. The GranCabrio’s 550 horsepower and 650 Nm of peak torque, which are identical to those of the more expensive GranTurismo Trofeo, enable the convertible to reach a top speed of 316 kph and accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 3.6 seconds.

With the exception of the fabric soft-top, which can be raised or lowered in 14 seconds at up to 50 kph, the GranCabrio shares many of the GranTurismo’s features and a wide range of extras. Priced at Rs 2.72 crore for the GranTurismo Modena variant and Rs 2.90 crore for the top-tier Trofeo variation, the coupe made its debut in India last year.
