MG Windsor EV Pro Price Launched At Rs 17.49 Lakh With Expanded Feature List
The MG Windsor EV Pro was introduced at Rs 17.49 lakh. With some significant internal and external improvements, it sits above the current Windsor EV variant lineup. The Windsor EV Pro starts at Rs 12.49 lakh for customers who choose MG’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan; the battery cost is not included in this price and is instead billed on a monthly basis based on the number of kilometers driven or a fixed amount. Reservations will open on May 8. Please take note that the Rs 17.49 lakh introductory price is only available for the first 8,000 reservations.
The Windsor EV Pro’s standout feature is a 52.9kWh LFP battery pack. The larger unit in the Pro can travel up to 449km on a single charge, which is more than the 38kWh LFP battery of the basic Windsor EV, which has an ARAI-tested range of 332km. The Windsor EV Pro is anticipated to outperform the Windsor EV, which in our testing had a real-world range of 308 km and an average battery efficiency of 8.1 km/kWh.

The Windsor EV Pro’s power and torque outputs, which are 136 horsepower and 200 Nm, respectively, are identical from the original model despite the increase in battery capacity. This also applies to the front-wheel drive configuration. Regarding charging, the Windsor EV Pro offers 60kW DC fast charging, which enables a 20–80% charge in 50 minutes, and a 7.4kWh AC charger that takes roughly 9.5 hours to fully recharge the battery.
A new design for the 18-inch alloy wheels that looks exactly like the MG Hector SUV’s is the sole cosmetic change made to the Windsor EV Pro, which is practically a new variation. The Windsor EV Pro retains the same stylistic features as the present model, including a big window area, retractable flush door handles, a split headlight arrangement with connected LED lightbars at the front and rear, and the unique MPV-hatchback hybrid body factor. Additionally, the brand has unveiled three new color options: Aurora Silver, Glaze Red, and Celadon Blue.
By forgoing the current model’s all-black interior colour scheme in favour of beige upholstery on the seats, front armrest, and roof and column liners, the MG Windsor EV Pro is now simpler to identify inside. Important new features for the Windsor EV Pro include a Level 2 ADAS safety suite, a powered tailgate, and V2V (Vehicle to Vehicle) and V2L (Vehicle to Load) capabilities, which allows the battery to be utilized to charge other electric vehicles and external equipment.
As anticipated, the larger battery pack has taken up some interior space; the Pro’s boot has 579 liters as opposed to the ordinary Windsor’s 604 liters.
The Mahindra XUV400, Hyundai Creta Electric, and Tata Nexon EV are competitors of the regular Windsor EV. The 51.4kWh Creta Electric trims and the 45kWh Nexon EV versions will face more fierce competition from the Pro, the range-topping Windsor EV variant.
