BPSC Releases Notification For The Teacher Recruitment Examination 3.0

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the notification for BPSC Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE) 2024. As per the official notification released by the commission, registration for the TRE will start from February 10, 2024. The registration window will remain opened till February 23, 2024.

According to the notification, the BPSC TRE examination will be held from March 7, 2024 to March 17, 2024. The result is expected to be come out on March 22-24, 2024. Notably, there is no provision for the supplementary result for the BPSC TRE.

Through the BPSC TRE exam, qualified candidates are recruited for the post of different levels of school education including Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Teachers in the State.

In order to apply for the given posts’ candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria. According to the notification, the basic education qualification is D.EI.Ed/B.Ed.

Entrance examination will be based on written test. The question paper will consist total 150 questions divided into 3 different sections. Each question carries one mark and there is no negative marking in the examination. The first section is qualifying in nature, will have 30 questions on language. The second section will have 40 questions based General Studies. And the third or final section will have 80 domain-specific questions.

The commission stated that the number of positions to be filled through this teacher recruitment exam will be posted on the BPSC website at a later time. It also stated that “appearing” candidates for the CTET and STET will not be taken into consideration for the examination.

With the exception of secondary (classes 9, 10), senior secondary (classes 11, 12), and SC and ST welfare schools (classes 6–12), where the lower age limit is 21, all openings have an 18-year-old minimum.

The upper age limit is 40 for OBC, BC, UR female applicants, 42 for SC and ST candidates, and 37 for UR male candidates.
