“Holi Will Be Celebrated In AMU At Any Cost": Satish Gautam, BJP MP From Aligarh

As the festival of Holi this year will be celebrated on March 14, Friday, the debate on the celebration of Holi has erupted as Muslims are observing Ramadan in March. On Friday, Muslims gather in mosques to perform special prayers. There are concerns that the coincidence of the celebration of the festival of Holi and observance of Ramadan Friday will not give rise to any kind of community tension among groups of people.

When asked about the Holi festival celebration on Friday in Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), the BJP MP Satish Gautam from Aligarh said Hindu students should celebrate Holi without any fear. “If there will be any restrictions, I will see the matter. I am here to look after this. Till I am here, Holi will be celebrated with fanfare,” the BJP MP said.
