OPSC Invites Applications For 81 Assistant Soil Conservation Officers At opsc.gov.in; Apply Till Aug 18
The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has invited applications for the recruitment of 81 posts of Assistant Soil Conservation Officers. Interested candidates can apply through the official website – opsc.gov.in. The application process will start from July 16, 2024, till August 16, 2024, with the activation of the link.
The notified posts come under the Class II (Group – B) of Odisha Soil Conservation Services under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment. Notably, the posts are temporary which are likely to be permanent. The pay scale is at Level – 10 of the pay matrix under ORSP Rules, 2017 consistent with the pre-revised scale of Pay Under PB-2 – Rs 9300-34800 with grade pay of Rs 4600 with dearness and other allowances sanctioned by the government of Odisha.

As per the official notification, out of the 81 posts, 45 seats are for unreserved categories, 11 for SEBC, 9 for the SC category, and 17 for the ST category. Out of the total vacancies 2 posts are reserved for Ex-servicemen, 3 for persons with disabilities, and 1 for sports persons. The reservation for ex-servicemen, pwd and sport person will be given from their respective categories.

A candidate must hold a degree in BSc. Agriclutre or Horticulture. The minimum age for applicants is 21 years and the maximum age is 38 years.
The selection of the candidates will be determined through a Competitive Recruitment Examination (Written Test – MCQ patter and interview). The written test will be held in Cuttack or some other places depending on the number of candidates.
