UPSC Now Asks DAF Submission Prior To The Prelims

Taking a different and new pattern, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has asked candidates to fill out the Detailed Application Form (DAF) before the Prelims exam. Earlier, candidates were asked to fill out the DAF after clearing the Main exam and before the personality test.

UPSC has released the notification for the Civil Sevices Prelims Exam 2025 (CSE) and Indian Forest Service (Prelims) exam on January 22, 2025. Candidates can fill the application form before the last day on February 11, 2025. The CSE prelims exam is scheduled to be held on May 25, 2025.

Candidates are asked to fill their services choices in the first stage of application process. However, the candidates will get opportuntiy to modify the choices filled now before the interview test.

This year, UPSC is set to fill a total of 979 vacancies in different service cadres. UPSC conducts the Civil Services Examination annually to select candidates for Group A and B posts across various government departments, including Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Revenue Service (IRS).
