As per the recent development in the election commission results, Aditya Devilal of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leads with a total number of 56,704 votes.
With a margin of just 610 votes, the INDL candidate is leading the race, pushing back the former minster Amit Sihag Chautala of the Congress party. The Congress candidate has so for bagged 55,464 votes.
As this constituency took an interesting turn with Aditya Devi Lal fielded up against his distant relative Digvijay Singh Chautala from the Dabwali constituency. Aditya Devi Lal, grandson of Devi Lal quit the BJP and joined the INLD just weeks before the elections and was given a poll ticket. Aditya Devi Lal’s father was Jagdish Chautala, the youngest son of Devi Lal.
His opponent, Digvijay Singh Chautala, brother of former Haryana deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala, who contested on the Jan Nayak Janta Party (JJP) ticket has bagged 35,261 votes. The political environment of the constituency witnessed a major shift in the 2019 election as the former minister Amit Sihag ended the two decades winning history of the INLD party with 66,885 votes, where as Aditya Devilal bagged 51,885 votes.
