In the assembly election 2024 e BJP’s Dhanesh Adlakha won by 6,181 vote margin in the Badkhal constituency in Haryana adding to a total vote of 79,476. The Congress candidate Vijay Pratap Singh lost to him and has secured 73,295 votes as per the Election Commission of India. The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Manoj Chaudhary secured a total vote of 2,493.
Badkhal is one of 90 legislative assembly constituencies in Haryana which is located in the South Haryana region. This semi-urban seat falls under the Faridabad district and has a general reservation status. It’s part of the Faridabad Lok Sabha constituency. In the 2014 Haryana Assembly elections, Seema Trikha of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the Badkhal seat defeating Mahender Partap Singh of the Congress by a significant margin of 36,609 votes which accounted for 27.37% of the total votes cast. The BJP secured 52.51% of the total votes in this seat.

However, in the 2009 Haryana Assembly elections the outcome was reversed. Mahender Partap Singh of the INC won the Badkhal seat defeating Seema Trikha of the BJP by a margin of 12,679 votes which represented 16.93% of the total votes cast.
