Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Gaurav Gautam has won the assembly election 2024 in the Palwal constituency by 33,605 votes securing a total count of 1,09118. The Congress candidate Karan Singh Dalal lost to him securing 75, 513 total votes as per the Election Commission of India. The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate Abhishek Deshwal was also trailing by 81,833 votes. According to his election affidavit filed with the Election Commission of India, Gaurav is analysed by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and Gaurav Gautam’s profession is listed as both a salaried individual and a social worker.

Palwal is one of the 90 Assembly constituencies in Haryana which is located in the South region. This urban seat falls under the Palwal district and has a general reservation status. It’s part of the Faridabad Lok Sabha constituency which was won by Krishan Pal of the BJP in both 2014 and 2019 defeating Avtar Singh Bhadana of Congress.
In the 2014 Haryana Assembly elections, Karan Singh Dalal of the Congress won the Palwal seat by a margin of 5,642 votes, securing 37.51% of the total votes cast. The BJP was ahead in this assembly segment in 2014 reflecting the party’s overall performance in the state. The 2014 Haryana Assembly elections saw a major turnout with 76.54% of voters casting their ballots. The BJP emerged as the leading party winning 47 seats and Congress secured only 15 seats.
