Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh said on Tuesday that he supports BJP”s decision to chose Mohan Yadav as the Chief Minister of the State. He reiterated that he would rather die than go and ask something for himself from the leadership in Delhi.

While attending a press conference in Madhya Pradesh”s Bhopal, outgoing Chief Minister said: “I am confident that under the leadership of CM Mohan Yadav, the BJP govt will complete the ongoing projects in the state…In terms of progress and development, Madhya Pradesh will achieve new heights. I will keep supporting him,” Hindustan times quotes as he is saying.

Former Chief Minister shrugged off questions on contesting Assembly elections as imaginary and said that he would follow the party”s decision. He added that he didn”t feel injustice from party”s side since the party assigned him with Chief Minister”s role for 18 years.

“Where is injustice? The BJP kept an ordinary worker as chief minister for 18 years, no one sees the other side. BJP gave me everything, now the time has come to reciprocate and give back to the party. Why can”t this be the thinking?” Hindustan Times quotes as Shivraj Singh Chouhan is saying.

When outgoing Chief Minister was asked about his big statement in which he said that he would rather die than ask something for himself from the leadership in Delhi, he said: “The context that day was that the rest are in Delhi, will you go to Delhi. One thing I say with great humility is that I would rather die than go and ask for something for myself. That”s not my job. That”s why I had said that I will not go to Delhi,” reports Hindustan Times.

Further, Shivraj Singh Chouhan stressed that he is satisfied that BJP continue to form government in Madhya Pradesh with “a thumping majority.” In the recent Assembly elections  in Madhya Pradesh BJP secured 163 out of 230 seats where Congress could finish a distant second with 66 seats.
