Kerala Election Results 2026: Kongad Thulasi Teacher Wins by Over 3,700 Votes in Close Contest

Kerala: Thulasi Teacher of the Indian National Congress has secured a narrow but decisive victory from the Kongad Assembly Constituency in the Kerala Assembly Election 2026, as per the Election Commission.

Representing the United Democratic Front (UDF), she won with 62,734 votes and defeated CPI(M) candidate Adv. K. Santhakumari by a margin of 3,706 votes. Santhakumari finished second with 59,028 votes.

BJP candidate Dr. Renu Suresh ended in third position with 24,925 votes, trailing significantly behind the main contenders.

The result reflects a closely fought contest between the UDF and LDF, with Thulasi Teacher maintaining a slim but consistent lead throughout the counting process. The outcome highlights a competitive political battle in Kongad, where the margin remained tight across rounds.
