Congress candidate Uma Thomas has registered a landslide victory in the Kerala Assembly Election 2026, as per the Election Commission. Representing the Indian National Congress, Uma Thomas secured 83,375 votes and won by a huge margin of 50,211 votes, marking one of the most decisive victories in the state.
Her closest rival, Adv. Pushpa Das of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), finished a distant second with 33,164 votes. Akhil Raj (Akhil Marar) of the Twenty 20 Party came third with 21,424 votes.

The result reflects a strong wave in favour of the United Democratic Front (UDF) in the constituency, with Uma Thomas maintaining a dominant lead throughout the counting process. The massive margin underlines a clear and emphatic mandate for the Congress candidate.
The counting of votes, which began earlier in the day, was conducted under tight security across the state. With such a significant victory, Uma Thomas’s win adds to the UDF’s overall performance and signals a major political gain in the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections.
