Kharkhauda Election Result: BJP’s Pawan Kharkhoda Defeats 3-Time Congress MLA Jaiveer Singh

With his victory, the BJP's Pawan Kharkhoda ended the Congress stronghold in Kharkhauda by defeating 3-time MLA Jaiveer Singh.

Kharkhauda Election Result: BJP’s Pawan Kharkhoda Defeats 3-Time Congress MLA Jaiveer Singh

Reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC), the Kharkhauda assembly election result is out, and the BJP has ended the Congress supremacy in the assembly seat. The saffron party’s Pawan Kharkhoda secured victory with 58,084 votes, defeating three-time MLA Jaiveer Singh with a margin of 5,635 votes.

In the close contest, which witnessed both candidates coming on top and leaving the other behind, the BJP has triumphed. Singh secured 52,449 votes.

In the 2019 assembly elections in the state, Singh won defeating Jannayak Janta Party’s (JJP) Pawan Kumar by a close margin of 1,544 votes (1.52 percent) of the total votes for the assembly seat.

Singh had won the seat first in 2009 and subsequently in 2014, defeating IND candidate Pawan Kumar (in 2014) with a margin of 14,182 (14.03 percent) of the total votes cast for the seat.

A total of ten candidates were in the electoral fray for the Kharkhauda Assembly seat including Amar Singh Balmiki (RNP), Dr Parveen Kharkhoda (YTP), Jaiveer Singh (INC), M Gaje Singh Advocate (IND), Manjeet Farmana (AAP), Pawan Kharkhoda (BJP), Pritam Khokar (INLD), Radhey Shyam (PPID), Ramesh Khatak (JJP) and Satnarayan (IND).
