Indian National Congress’ candidate Manju Choudhary has won from Nangal Chaudhry constituency with a vote margin of 6,930 votes, defeating BJP’s Dr Abhe Singh Yadav. Manju Chaudhary polled 51,215 votes compared to Dr Abhe Singh.
Nangal Chaudhry is one of the 90 assembly constituencies in Haryana. The seat which is classified as semi-urban, falls in the Mahendragarh district of Haryana. A total of five candidates were in the fray for the assembly seat. Dr Abhe Singh Yadav (BJP), Manju Choudhary (Congress) and Rao Om Prakash Engineer (JJP) are the key candidates in the state.
In the 2019 assembly election, Dr Abhe Singh Yadav of BJP won in this constituency by a margin of 20,615 which was 19.89% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Abhe Singh Yadav of BJP won by a margin of 981 votes.
As per the Election Commission data, the estimated voter turnout in the constituency was 70.42%. During the 2019 Haryana Assembly election, BJP emerged victorious, bagging 40 of the 90 seats. The BJP formed the government in coalition with Dushyant Chautala-led JJP, which managed to win 10 seats. Meanwhile, the Congress party received 31 seats and the remaining were taken by INLD, Haryana Lokhit Party and independent candidate.
