Nilokheri Election Results: BJP’s Bhagwan Dass Wins With A Margin Of 18,845 Votes

The BJP candidate Bhagwan Dass secured victory in Nilokheri with 77,902 votes and a significant margin of 18,845 votes. Congress candidate and two-term MLA Dharam Pal followed behind with 59,057 votes. As part of the Modi wave, Dass secured the Nilokheri seat in 2014 with 58,354 votes as a BJP candidate.

Reserved for the Scheduled Castes, Nilokheri is one of the 90 assembly constituencies in Haryana.

Pal first won the seat in 2000 with 43,326 votes as Indian National Lok Dal (INLD). He then won again in 2019, after suffering a brutal defeat in 2009 as a BJP candidate, with 42,979 votes.

Contesting as an Independent candidate, Pal defeated Dass who secured 40,757 votes under the BJP.
