Rajasthan Election Results: Congress' Vidhyadhar Singh Wins Phulera Assembly

Vidhyadhar Singh from the Congress has won the Phulera constituency in Rajasthan with a margin of 112,244 votes, while Nirmal Kumawat of the BJP trails with 85,346 votes, marking a margin of 26,898 votes. The competition for this constituency remained intense as both candidates strived to garner support and sway the electorate in their favor.

Phulera Assembly constituency is one of constituencies of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly in the Jaipur Rural. The Phulera constituency comprises a total of 238,854 registered voters. Phulera constituency covers all voters from parts of Phulera tehsil, which include ILRC Sambhar including Sambhar Municipal Board and Phulera Municipal Board, ILRC Renwal including Kishangarh Renwal Municipal Board, ILRC Bhainslana, ILRC Narayana; and Doongari Khurd, Harsoli, Kherimilak and Ramjipura Kalan of ILRC Karansar.

In Vidhansabha elections of 2018, Nirmal Kumawat of BJP won with 73,530 votes. The runner up was Vidhyadhar Singh who won the elections this time. The margin of victory was: 1,132 votes. In Vidhansabha elections 2013, Nirmal Kumawat won with 84,722 votes. The runner up was Bajrang of Congress. The margin of victory was: 24,297 votes.

During the 2018 Rajasthan elections, Phulera recorded a voter turnout of 75.27%. In 2013, the turnout was 74.59%, and in 2008, it stood at 70.7%.

The BJP seized control from the Congress in Rajasthan on December 3 by securing a decisive majority and becoming the primary party beyond the halfway threshold in the tightly contested Assembly election. The BJP claimed victory in 115 of the 200 seats up for grabs, while the Congress trailed significantly with 69 seats. Along with Rajasthan, the Assembly elections were held in four other states including Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Chhattisgarh. The results of these three states have also been announced yesterday.
