Sikti Election Result 2025: BJP’s Vijay Kumar Mandal Wins Big, Defeats VIP’s Hari Narayan Pramanik
The Sikti Assembly constituency has delivered a decisive mandate in the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections, with Vijay Kumar Mandal of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) securing a resounding victory.
Mandal won the seat with 111,342 votes, defeating his nearest rival, Hari Narayan Pramanik of the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), by a comfortable margin of 19,322 votes.
This win marks Mandal’s third consecutive victory, reaffirming his strong influence in the Sikti region after winning in both 2015 and 2020. His expanded margin this time signals sustained voter confidence in the BJP’s leadership and organisational reach in the constituency.
Vip candidate Hari Narayan Pramanik finished second with 92,020 votes, while Jan Suraaj Party’s Md. Raghib secured 3,789 votes, followed by BSP’s Bhola Prasad Singh with 3,357 votes. Candidates from the Peace Party and the Aam Aadmi Party also contested but were unable to make a significant impact.
The outcome aligns with Sikti’s recent electoral history, where the BJP has dominated since 2010, previously winning under Anandi Prasad Yadav. Despite the presence of multiple parties — including AAP, BSP, VIP, JSP, and independents — the seat remained firmly a BJP stronghold in 2025.
