With 85,327 Votes, Muslim League's PK Kunhalikutty Scripts History, Securing Biggest Majority Ever In Kerala
Malappuram, Kerala: Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) general secretary PK Kunhalikutty has scripted history by securing the largest majority ever in the history of Kerala as the counting ended for the 2026 Kerala Assembly Elections. He won the constituency with a margin of 85,327 votes.
Kunhalikutty retained Malappuram the party’s stronghold by securing 1,31,632 votes.
The Muslim League leader had during the 2017 Malappuram Lok Sabha by-election, became the first candidate in Kerala to secure over five lakh votes, setting a then-record margin for the constituency formed in 2008.
