Veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi and his second wife, Rupali Barua, were injured in a road accident in Guwahati on Friday evening. The incident took place at Zoo Road, one of the busiest stretches in the Assam capital.

According to his social media post, the accident occurred in front of The Guwahati Address Hotel, which falls under the jurisdiction of Geetanagar Police Station.

He said that he is absolutely fine and thanked fans for their concern, and his wife, Rupali Barua, has been kept under medical observation as a precaution and has not suffered any major injuries.

The motorcycle was reportedly coming from the Chandmari side at a very high speed.

The impact of the collision knocked both Ashish Vidyarthi and Rupali Barua to the ground, causing injuries. The biker involved in the accident also sustained serious injuries.

Locals rushed to the spot immediately after the incident and alerted the police. All the injured were shifted for medical attention.
