Breaking records in the Indian box office, Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule is dominating the numbers’ gamewith it’s impressive collection. After surpassing the lifetime collection of the prequel Pushpa: The Rise, the film is witnessing a hike on its first weekend.

In a major achievement, the film has grossed Rs 621 crore just in three days of its release, as per the announcement made by the Pushpa team.  Following an extraordinary performance on Saturday, the film is maintaining impressive momentum on Sunday as well, indicating that it is on track to soon surpass the Rs 1,000 crore threshold in a matter of a few days.

On Sunday, Pushpa 2 had earned Rs 79.59 crore domestically, according to Sacnilk, bringing its total India nett collection to Rs 467.54 crore. In the Telugu market, the film has seen an overall occupancy rate of 72.29 per cent, with the morning occupancy at 57.91 per cent and the afternoon rate soaring to 86.67 per cent. In the Hindi market, it recorded an overall occupancy of 78.76 per cent, with morning and afternoon shows achieving 65.46 per cent and 92.06 per cent, respectively.

The film etched itself in the history, since its day one. Emerged as the Indian film with highest opening day, the film has collected Rs 270 crore worldwide. With this impressive box office record, the film dethroned SS Rajamouli’s epic RRR, which secured the top spot by earning Rs 223 crore worldwide on it’s opening day. As the sensational film RRR, pushed down to the second spot, Baahubali 2 becomes the third film with highest opening day record.

Made on a budget of ₹400–500 crore, this directorial of Sukumar is one of the most expensive Indian films. With a runtime of 200 minutes, it is one of the longest Indian films ever made. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media, the film features Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil reprise their roles as Pushpa Raj, Srivalli, and Bhanwar Singh Shekawat. Allu Arjun, the main lead of the film, received a National Film Award for his performance in the first part.
