Anushka Shetty Joins The Team of "Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer"
Actress Anushka Shetty, known for her performances in Telugu and Tamil movies, is all set to make her debut in Mollywood. Rojin Thomas”s upcoming film Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer will be her first film in Malayalam.
Touted as a period fantasy drama, Kathanar delves into the adventures and tales of Kadamattathu Kathanar, a priest in Kerala, as per the legends, was endowed with supernatural powers. The title role will be played by actor Jayasurya. As per the reports, Anushka Shetty will essay the role of Kalliyankattu Neeli, a vengeful spirit, mentioned in the tales.
Jayasurya welcomed the actress to the Kathanar team. He shared the pictures of the team welcoming Anushka Shetty on board.

Meanwhile, sharing the pictures on social media handles, Anushka Shetty wrote: “Entered into the world of #Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer’”.
The screenplay of the movie is written by R Ramanand and Neil D”Cunha handles the camera. Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer is produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies. Makers are planning to release the movie in several Indian and foreign languages.
Anushka Shetty”s previous release was Telugu film Miss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty, last year.
