Actor Asif Ali has something mysterious to offer his fans for this Onam, a mystery buried in a dense forest and its inhabitants. Unveiling the answers to the mystery thriller, Asif Ali’s Kishkindha Kaandam hits theaters today.

Offering a mystery thriller sprinkled with family elements, Asif Ali is all set to amaze his fans today with Kishkindha Kaandam. Directed by Dinjith Ayyathan, the film is set to explore the mystery hidden in the dense forest and its shocking revelations.

Titled Kishkindha Kaandam, a chapter of the epic tale Ramayana, the film has no direct connection to the story despite a fleeting mention of Hanuman and Sugriva by Asif’s character in one of its trailers. The only similarity to the chapter from the Ramayana is that both feature unusual events surrounding a forest that profoundly impact the characters, revealed the director.

So, then what is it all about? The trailer offers a hidden mystery and a quest to unveil it. A father, the man with a past, a restricted site of the forest, and imposition of Section 144 in the area following a public threat and strong Naxal movements ranging back from the 1970s, and a son’s quest to unwrap the mystery.

Highlighted the elements of family emotions, and mystery, especially the monkeys Asif Ali’s Kishkindha Kaandam promises a mysterious ride to the viewers. Dinjith Ayyathan, who is known for directing the Asif Ali starrer Kakshi Amminipilla, has directed Kishkindha Kaandam based on a screenplay by Bahul Ramesh, who has also performed the duties as the film’s cinematographer. The cast of Kishkindha Kaandam also includes Nishan, Jagadish, Ashokan, Nizhalgal Ravi, Shebin Benson, Major Ravi, and Kottayam Ramesh.
