Pop icon Ed Sheeran is making waves in the country with the India leg of his Mathematics ( -=÷x) Tour. Amidst the unwavering excitement over the singer’s music tour, Ed Sheeran surprised the internet with his meetup with Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman and his son AR Ameen.

The British musician is currently on his six-city Indian music tour, which includes stops in Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Shillong, and Delhi.

Upon his arrival in India, the Grammy-winning singer shared his excitement on his social media handle. But there was one photo that was unexpected for his fans. Yesterday, AR Rahman shared a picture with the British singer, which took social media by storm.

Sharing their brief meetup, the Oscar-winning musician posted a picture where he can be seen sitting with his son Ameen and Ed Sheeran. Another picture featured Rahman using his music console while the Perfect singer was snapping the photograph of the occasion.

The post of the legendary musician also made the internet speculate over a possible collaboration between the two for a music video.

The Mathematics ( -=÷x) Tour

Ed Sheeran kickstarted his Mathematics ( -=÷x) Tour with a mesmerising performance in Pune on January 30. The singer also won hearts during the Pune concert when he paused the show for a moment and expressed his gratitude for fans. He shared that he has performed twice in India, both times in Mumbai, and was excited to bring his music to other cities this time.

The pop icon will be lighting up the stage of Chennai today, February 5, along with the sensational singer Jonita Gandhi. The concert will be taking place at the YMCA grounds of Chennai.

After Chennai, the British singer-songwriter will next perform in Bengaluru and Shillong on February 8 and 12, respectively. He will conclude the India leg of his tour with his concert on February 15 in Delhi-NCR, where he will be joined by singer-actor Lisa Mishra on stage. Sheeran performed in Hyderabad on Sunday.
