Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar 2 continues to mint big money from the box office. Despite having good competition from Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 and Ranveer Kapoor’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, the movie has been performing well in theatres, thanks to the holidays happened after the release and nationalistic fervour the Gadar franchise is offering. The movie had a historic opening on Independence Day, collecting Rs 55.40 crore.
The movie, in its sixth day in theaters, a working Wednesday, managed to collect Rs 34.50 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. This takes Gadar 2″s total domestic net collection to Rs 263.48 crore. The film had an occupancy of 56.09% on Wednesday.
Box office analyst Taran Adarsh called the movie “Typhoon – Tsunami – Hurricane” after its spectacular performance in the cinema halls.

Gadar 2 was released on August 11 and had a great start at the box office, collecting Rs 40.1 crore on its opening day.
In just six days, Gadar 2 has become the second-highest domestic grosser of the year, after Pathaan. The Shah Rukh Khan film made Rs 543.05 crore in India. Gadar 2, directed by Anil Sharma, has already crossed The Kerala Story”s lifetime collection of Rs 242.20 crore.
The film is expected to continue its strong run at the box office and could soon become the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2023.
