The cameras have started to roll for Varun Dhawan’s Border 2, the sequel to the 1999 film Border. The sequel that stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty commenced shooting in Madhya Pradesh as the Baby John star joined the cast.
The film aims to capture the raw emotions and heroism that have defined the first part and has planned to set the highly secluded armed forces cantonment areas of Jhansi as its backdrop. With a gripping storyline and intense action sequences, the makers are all set to offer a heartfelt drama.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 is produced by JP Dutta, Nidhi Dutta, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar. The action-packed movie is set to release in theatres on January 23, 2026.
Commencing the next schedule of the film, the makers shared a picture of Varun along with the crew as he started filming.
