Actor Allu Arjun and music director Devi Sri Prasad made a surprise entry at the Sathya Theatre, Hyderabad, during the premiere of the film. At around 9:30 pm on Wednesday, the actor entered the premises when fans were waiting for the show to begin, creating confusion among the crowd. It triggered a stampede outside the theatre.
Taking advantage of the situation, a large number of people entered the lower balcony area along with the actor and his security team. The chaos led to the death of a woman, named Revathi, while her nine-year-old son was hospitalised due to asphyxiation as the crowd jostled at the film theatre to get a glimpse of the actor.
Revathi and her son were pulled out of the crowd by the police, and CPR was performed on both. They were immediately shifted to the nearby Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital. However, the doctor declared Revathi dead, and her son was advised to be shifted to another hospital for better treatment.
