Surprising the audience further, actor Jr NTR also addressed the crowd in Tamil and mentioned that Chennai was so special for him. Winding up the event, Jr NTR spoke on blurring of boundaries between the cine industries of India and said that once divided by language, but after Baahubali, we are not divided by cinema anymore. Answering the curiosity of the audience on if he would ever star in a Tamil film, the actor looked into the camera and said, “If Vetrimaaran sir calls me, I will do a straight Tamil film.”
Apart from Jr NTR and Janhvi, Devara Part 1, directed by Vetrimaaran, also stars Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist. Before its trailer release, the film garnered 1 million dollars in North American pre-sale, emerging as the first Indian movie to collect the fastest 1 million dollar pre-sale in the region. Devara Part 1 will hit the theatres on September 26.
