It’s been on the momentum that fans and film enthusiasts speculating about a potential cameo role by the Malayalam superstar Mammootty in Asif Ali’s movie Rekhachithram, which hit theatres today.
The rumour mill had been working overtime with many anticipating the legendary actor to make a special appearance in the movie.
And now, Asif Ali has finally put the speculation to rest, confirming that Mammootty is indeed a part of Rekhachithram as the actor took to social media to confirm the news.

Asif Ali wrote: “I have been seeing social media discussions asking whether there is Mammooka in this film. As an actor who acted in the film, I cannot give a direct answer for now. But no one is expecting Mammooka in this film. I assure you that you will not be disappointed. There is a little surprise waiting for you in this movie.”

Asif Ali also extended his deepest gratitude to Mammootty, revealing that the legendary actor’s consent, blessing, courage and openness were instrumental in making the film Rekhachitram a reality. Asif Ali stated that without Mammootty’s support, the film would never have happened.
