Raayan Trailer: Dhanush's Blood-Soaked Revenge Journey

Marking today as ‘Raayan Trailer Day‘, the makers have kick-started the piquing curiosity of the audience with the blood-splashing trailer release on June 16.

As announced, the trailer of actor Dhanush’s 50th film Raayan‘s trailer was unveiled by the makers, promising an intense action flick with nothing but blood splashes. The trailer showcases Dhanush in a menacing role and also features his Captain Miller co-star Sandeep Kishan, along with SJ Suryah, Prakash Raj, Aparna Balamurali, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.

The trailer begins with Dushara Vijayan pouring water on Dhanush who is covered with blood stains. The narrative of Selvaragavan begins as the camera traces the flowing water mixed with blood. The narrative of Raayan’s elder brother explains how the most dangerous animal in the jungle is not a lion or a tiger, but a wolf. He continues, “If they face each other one-on-one, the lion will beat the wolf. But a wolf is very intelligent. They come as a pack, round the lion up, and then destroy it,” hinting at the storyline.

Through the narration of Selvaragavan, the trailer introduces the characters of Sandeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, SJ Suryah, Prakash Raj, and others. The intense action flick takes off with blood-spilling chases and fights in red-tinted settings and a powerful theme song. The trailer ends with the three brothers walking over a mountain, with one of them carrying a baby on his shoulder as AR Rahman’s voice echoes.

The AR Rahman musical marks Dhanush’s second directorial venture and is bankrolled by Sun Pictures. He first directed Pa Paandi, which starred Rajkiran in the lead role, with Dhanush making an extended cameo as the younger version of Rajkiran’s character. Now, with Raayan, Dhanush is once again taking on a full-fledged directorial role, in addition to starring as the lead.
