In a recent interview, director Atlee confirmed that he is working on a script which could bring King Khan Shah Rukh and Thalapathy Vijay together, potentially becoming his next film. Atlee was addressing a YouTube channel in an interview. The director disclosed the details about this ‘super collaboration’, emphasizing an encounter of the trio in Chennai during the shoot of ‘Zinda Banda’ song for the movie Jawan.
The three are on their utmost triumph, Atlee and Shah Rukh Khan with the massive hit of Jawan, which earned over Rs 1,000 crore worldwide and Vijay with his Lokesh directorial Leo, the biggest Tamil opening grosser.
“I called Vijay Anna and invited him to the party, and he said he would make it for sure. So, when he came, Shah Rukh sir and Anna discussed between themselves and called me”, said Atlee in the interview. According to Atlee, Shah Rukh Khan asked him, whether he had plans of directing a dual hero commercial and both Vijay and SRK expressed their willingness to collaborate if it happens in the future.
“Shah Rukh sir told me if I ever have plans of directing a dual hero film, they both are ready for it. Vijay Anna also said, ‘Ama pa’ “, Atlee expressed. “So, I am working on it. It could be my next film. I am working very hard to come up with a script for it. Let’s see”, he added.
Earlier also Atlee had spoken about his plans on a dual-hero movie. While addressing the India Today Conclave 2023 in Mumbai, he spoke about the possibility of crafting a movie with two actors in the lead role. While asked about Vijay and SRK he said that “I would pick both. I will like to do a Rs 3000 crore film next and my budget will allow that. So definitely, I will pick both”. “One is like a wife and the other is like a mother. I can”t leave both. And be very precise, today what I am is because Thalapathy Vijay. He has delivered back-to-back films for me. He really, really trusted me”, Atlee added.
