Shah Rukh Khan Is Ready To Do "Chaiyya Chaiyya" On Top Of A Plane For Mani Ratnam Only If...

Shah Rukh Khan is indeed “a terrific orator who loves to shoot straight”. With immense humbleness, love and respect for all, he can sure melt the hearts of millions, and of course, the dimple is an added bonus. During an event of CNN News 18, where he was awarded with Indian of the year, the “Baadshah” said he has been Indian for all these years and will remain an Indian for the coming years. He said, he is an “Indian for all ages”.

During the event, ‘King Khan’ asked film maker Mani Ratnam, when will he cast him in another movie. When the anchor said Khan can use the platform to ask Mani Ratnam when he will be casting Shah Rukh Khan, the actor whined that “Mani sir…it has come in the open now”. He said he have been “begging…requesting” Mani Ratnam to cast him in another movie.

Shah Rukh Khan said he is ready to do Chaiyya Chaiyya steps even at the top of the plane if needed. To this the Ponniyin Selvan maker said he would cast Shah Rukh Khan when he buys a plane. To this, Shah Rukh Khan, who is also well know for his quick wit as much as his charm, used his astronomical success he garnered with Pathan, Jawan and Dunki and said, “Mani, let me just tell you, the way my films are going… this plane is not far away.. uh”. As a response to this, Mani Ratnam said, “I will bring it down to earth… don’t worry”.

Shah Rukh Khan and Mani Ratnam worked together in 1998, in the movie Dil Se, the iconic love story that was set against the backdrop of insurgency. The song featured beautiful songs, among which was the iconic “Chaiyya Chaiyya”.
