2024 was actually a big year for Sivakarthikeyan as an actor, producer, and visionary film enthusiast. The success of his blockbuster biographical war film, Amaran, is a reminder of the actor’s dedication towards his craft.
His recent interaction with the Hollywood Reporter brought some exclusive thoughts of the actor behind his works, including the thoughts on being called Thalapathy Vijay’s successor.
The one thing apart from Amaran that caught the eye of the internet is the phrase “Thupppaki-ah pudinga Siva!” of actor Vijay in GOAT. This pass on by Thalapathy, who is quitting films after Thalapathy69 and turning to politics full-time, kind of established actor Sivakarthikeyan as a successor to him, set the internet on fire.

Apart from receiving support and facing backlash, what does it really mean to the Amaran actor? He said, “I did not interpret the scene as Vijay sir passing on the baton (of Kollywood cinema) to me at all. If I’d thought of it that way, I would have clarified it before shooting the scene itself! The only way to look at it this way: This is Vijay sir sharing his love for me, appreciating the work I’ve done in my career so far, and encouraging me to keep at it. I’m incredibly grateful to him for that,” he said.
Siva, who is now the sensation of the country for his incredible commitment to the war film Amaran, has also hinted at being launched by Aamir Khan in Bollywood. Even though rumours make the rounds on his Bollywood entry from time to time, the actor revealed that the idea was not materialised because a film that he planned didn’t happen.

But he also revealed that Aamir Khan has promised that his first Hindi film will be made under Aamir’s banner. And this is an exciting update, which appears to be the next big step of the actor in his career. Regarding the same, Siva said, “The script should decide.”
The other notable step of the actor in 2024 was producing Soori’s film Kottukaali. Even though the film didn’t bag expected numbers at the box office, the idea that Siva, as a producer, shared is impressive. Referring to the film as an experiment, he said, “When international audiences can enjoy the film, why can’t our audience?”
Comparing it to the experimental films done by actor Kamal Haasan, he highlighted that these kinds of films should reach theatres, and one day the result will be shown.
