Actor Simbu is taking up the internet by storm on the occasion of his birthday today. The actor, who has an interesting lineup of films, is surprising his fans with back-to-back announcements. Yes, get ready for this second and the most exciting announcement of the day. STR, the sensational star, has launched his new production company today.

While the star announced his next venture, STR 49, this morning, the internet was puzzled, as the fans were expecting updates over his previous venture, STR 48, with Desingh Periyaswamy.

The film, which was launched back in 2022, failed to hit the floor for more than 2 years. And this stirred speculations and rumors over the film being shelved. However, the Thug Life star has shut down the rumours with a perfect reply of announcing the film with a new tentative title.

The film has not only changed the title but an important factor as well. Yes, as per the announcement, STR 48 is now STR 50, and the film will be produced by the actor’s newly launched production house. Silambarasan TR, the sensational actor of the Tamil film industry, has launched his new production unit, Atman Cine Arts, today.

While announcing his new venture, the Thug Life actor wrote, “இறைவனுக்கு நன்றி! I’m excited to share that I’m stepping into a new journey as a producer with @Atman_cinearts. There’s no better way to begin this than with my 50th film, a dream project for both me and @desingh_dp. We are pouring our hearts into this! Excited for this new venture and truly hoping for all your love and support as always! நீங்க இல்லாம நான் இல்ல!”

Earlier, the film was announced to be bankrolled by actor Kamal Haasan. However, the legendary actor stepped back from the film’s production considering its whopping budget. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring the music for ‘STR 50’ to reunite with Silambarasan, while Manoj Paramahamsa will handle the cinematography.

Earlier on, wishing the actor on his special day, Raaj Kamal Films International, the production house of Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life, also unveiled the bossy look of the actor in a special motion poster.
