Rleasing the trailer on X handle, the makers wrote, “India’s most awaited gang is back to fight Chanderi ka naya aatank! Get ready for the biggest horror-comedy film of the year. The Stree 2 Trailer is Out Now. The legend returns this Independence Day, 15th August 2024”

The trailer begins with a voice-over reminding the absence of Stree and the mysterious creature that will return now with Pankaj Tripathi’s Rudra Bhaiya introducing the new threat to the people of Chanderi – ‘Sarkata’ (headless monster). To protect them from his terror, comes Shraddha, who presumably was the evil spirit in the prequel of the film.

To safeguard everyone from its reign of terror, Shraddha emerges, presumably having assumed the role of the spirit in the film’s preceding installment. Recognizing the dire circumstances, the people of Chanderi pray to Stree this time, “O stree raksha karna (Oh stree save us)” instead of telling her, “O stree kal aana (Oh stree come tomorrow)”.

Additionally, the trailer was dropped along with two exciting posters as well, featuring  Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi.
