A 25- year old mumbai based entrepreneur was recently hospitalised for adopting a relentless work schedule which is now commonly attributed as ‘hustle culture’.
Kritharth Mittal, founder of the AI-startup Soshals app, sharing photos of him in hospital, wrote on X, “hustle culture comes with a cost”.
“Hustle culture comes with a cost — some you incur right away and some over decades. Choice is yours, I’m just here to show you the ugly side of it so you don’t get swayed easy,” he added.

Cautioning the social media users, Mittal said that he ended up in the hospital after pulling all-nighters, getting less hours of sleep and following an unhealthy diet.

The Mumbai-based techie said that he woke up one day with a severe headache and vomiting and he had never experienced such serious symptoms before.
He further added that his daily routine became erratic since college but acknowledged he have to take care of himself as he grows older.
“Now my body has started to remind me that I am not 20 anymore,” the 25-year-old graduate of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai wrote on X.

Mittal said in his post that he would set up a routine and will do his best to follow them. “I am old now and I have to accept it. Gone are the college days when pulling all-nighters was cool,” he wrote.
Mittal’s post has come at a time when many of the techies have spoken about the burnouts and unhealthy lifestyle due to work pressure.
The techies life story is a stark reminder that though the hustle culture glorifies constant productivity it comes with the expense of one’s health.
