Spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev recently talked about a unique mixture that can help boost the immune system. In a video circulating online, Sadhguru shares a recipe featuring honey, gooseberry, and pepper. However, several X users claimed that this mixture will do nothing to the human immune system, and they also added that it is dangerous to health.
Nope. A mixture of honey, gooseberry and pepper does nothing to the human immune system. All that honey, three times a day could probably give you severe fatty liver. Self-styled spiritual gurus must stick to yoga and sky daddy discourses. pic.twitter.com/09cGOXV1z8

Sadhguru suggests in the video that consuming a mixture of gooseberry and pepper, socked in honey, three times a day works best. “It works best, all these things work best, when you’re on an empty stomach. That’s the first thing that you take,” added the spiritual leader in the video. Sadhguru also says that people can see a “significant increase” in their immune system if they follow this process. “I would say, in 4-8 weeks one can see significant betterment of one’s immune system,” Sadhguru mentioned.
On the other hand, Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips, widely known as “The Liver Doc” on social media platforms, rejected this recipe. The Liver Doc said that the mixture of honey, gooseberry, and pepper “does nothing” to the human immune system. “All that honey, three times a day could probably give you severe fatty liver. Self-styled spiritual gurus must stick to yoga and sky daddy discourses,” he added on the X post on January 11. The viral post had so far collected over 140,000 views.
Several other X users also raised concern over this recipe. “The sugar spike such a concoction will cause empty stomach. Imagine a diabetic person is seeing this and starts following this advice.. this is plain dangerous,” commented a user. “Its a new dessert recipe,” commented another. “9 spoons of honey a day can cause fatty liver?” asked a user.
