Three people, including two pilots and an engineer, died after a helicopter crashed in Maharashtra’s Pune district and caught fire on Wednesday morning. The incident occurred in the Bavdhan area around 6:45 am.
After it took off from a helipad located at a golf course nearby, the helicopter crashed in the hilly terrain.

Two pilots—Paramjit Singh and GK Pillai—and an engineer, Pritam Bharadwaj, were onboard the chopper.
According to the Commissioner of Police (CP), “Three people died in the incident. Senior officials of Pimpri Chinchwad Police are on the spot.”
The helicopter reportedly belonged to Pune-based Heritage Aviation. According to police officials, it had a registration number VT EVV.
According to local media reports, the helicopter took off from Oxford Golf Club’s helipad when it crashed in the hilly Bavdhan area, possibly due to the dense fog. The exact cause of the crash is yet to be identified.

A rescue operation is underway. Four fire tankers from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) arrived at the spot.
